In the neighborhoods where many of the Nov. 13 attacks occurred, candlelight vigils became gathering places where some residents and visitors quietly mourned, while others sang songs or chanted in defiance.

Paris Vigils

Organization: The New York Times

Date: September 20, 2016

This Pulitzer-nominated piece was the first 360 video to be produced by the New York Times newsroom.

It was shot with two 360 Hero mono rigs, each containing six GoPro cameras, stitched manually in Autopano/After Effects and edited in Premiere. I contributed to the creative explorations of this novel story-form and led the research and implementation of the post-production process.

This trailblazing film came together through the efforts of two brilliant NYT videographers — Leslye Davis and Ben Solomon — and our three-person team of post-production artists, in the span of five days.
